We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Housing Advisor to join our team in Cambridge on a full-time temporary ongoing basis, with an initial contract period of 3 months.
The Assistant Housing Officer will be responsible for ensuring that cost effective, and value for money services are delivered on local Housing estates, as well as improving the service provision to the customers.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of housing legislation, and experience working closely with members of the public.
Opus People Solutions are working with West Northamptonshire Council to recruit for four Housing Allocations Officers, to deliver an efficient and professional allocations service, ensuring the council's Housing Register, allocation of accommodation within the council's own stock and nominations to partner registered provider vacancies are administered in accordance with the Council's Housing Allocation Scheme (policy), service procedures, national code of guidance and housing legislation.
Rate of Pay: £25 per hour Umbrella or £19.23 per hour PAYE

The purpose of this role is to deliver support to tenants and enable them to sustain their homeless centre tenancy to then be able to move onto a suitable and secured accommodation.
