Working with households who are homeless, or threatened with homelessness, to offer them advice and assistance to resolve their housing situation.
You will complete an assessment to determine what statutory duties the council may owe to the household, develop a personal housing plan, and issue decisions around duties owed.
You will also establish eligibility for the council's various homelessness prevention schemes.
Support Officer / Supported Housing Assistantwho has experience working in a customer facing role, preferably supporting vulnerable people with excellent communication and administrative skills is required to join a friendly team with a well-established company.

You may not have experience in this sector, as the company recognise that transferrable skills and experience are just as valuable and full training is provided.
This role focuses on supporting clients owed the main housing duty.
We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer who can hit the ground running.
Candidates will need to have experience of homeless prevention and relief work, managing a varied caseload and a good working knowledge of the homelessness legislation.
