H&S Safety Coordinator - Industrial and Commercial projects - based in Peterborough A highly respected, privately owned, Building Services provider has an exciting new vacancy for a Health & Safety Coordinator to be based in their office on Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. As the Health & Safety Coordinator you will assist the co-ordination and implementation of Health & Safety policies and practices, working across all operations in the business. You will provide support for all activities related to the maintenance of health & safety, compliance and environmental. As the H&S Coordinator you would be responsible for: Supporting the processes the Company needs to meet its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting. Support the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures. Support and promote a safe workplace environment without risk to health. Carrying out daily reviews to ensure RAMS have been produced and in place for work operations carried out by directly employed staff and Sub Contractors. Assist the Health & Safety Adviser to ensure that, should an accident occur, it is documented, investigated, and recommended improvements implemented. Maintain records and statistics relating to health and safety training, hazard and Near Miss reporting, accidents and incidents. Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained. Assist with various annual accreditation renewals and PPQs. Participate in meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters. Assist with the scheduling of our fleet maintenance/service & repairs. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: Recent and relevant experience in Health & Safety. Experience of coordinating, implementing Health & Safety requirements, policies, and procedures. Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills. Good planning, organisational and time management skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong IT skills. Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. The role: Admin management system in line Support Safety Coordinators across, both remotely and on site, to implement and manage. Safety requirements for sites/businesses including development of local policies and procedures and maintenance of records. Support of timely Accident/Incident reporting, escalation, investigation and close out. Collation and reporting of data and input to management and key stakeholders including for meetings and reports. Conduct inspections and visits to verify compliance with standards. Support the businesses with regulatory compliance and certification. Support the delivery of relevant training requirements such as Manual Handling, Display Screen Participate in HSE Working Groups as organised. Skills: Strong IT skills Full clean driving licence.
