I am currently representing an Global manufacturing company, to support them in finding their next Group H&S Manager to be responsible for the UK operations. Looking for a proven health and safety professional to support two manufacturing facilities and two distribution sites take them on a maturity journey, lead their ISO 45001 accreditation and implementation of a new management system. Main responsibilities: Exciting time to join this company to Head up the Health and Safety function across the UK, responsible for implementing H&S management systems, business continuity management (BCM) and strategic priorities Coach and mentor the H&S team (4) Provide alignment of H&S standards across all 4 UK sites and wider European sites Provides leadership and technical support to the implementation of the H&S, BCM and security strategic priorities in all functions of the company, ensuring that all programs are properly implemented and that compliance to company requirements is solid and sustainable. Leads BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) program in the country. Positive behaviours and culture already but need to focus on momentum to support their goal of interdependency across the sites Communicates with functional leadership teams to get their support, involvement and endorsement to the H&S programs and initiatives. Develops/adapts standards, guidance materials and trainings to support the implementation of the H&S strategy. Periodically reports the progress to the senior leadership team and global function, using appropriate performance indicators and management review processes. Advises on Capex with respect to H&S projects. Assists in the assessment and implementation of international standards ISO 45001 certifications including follow up. Conducts independent compliance assessments, field observations, inspections, coaching and guidance within country Coordinates reporting towards external bodies. Manages all technical risks in the country and coordinates actions to reduce or mitigate them. Coordinates, through Security manager, implementation, and improvement of security standards in the company and investigation of frauds. Cooperates with the insurance company and coordinates cases raised related to the insurance. Essential experience and qualifications; NEBOSH diploma or equivalent FMCG experience ideally within food, beverage or packaging manufacturing environments Management of multiple sites Exposure to risk management, business continuity management, cultural change programmes Personality requirements; People centric, dynamic Care, pride and passion for HSE Able to engage with gravitas Empower all levels of workforce, from the factory floor all the way up to stakeholder/ Director level Visible and approachable Interested? The hourly rate for this role is £12.36 and up to £13.53 across selected locations within London and will involve travelling to stores around the region up to 60 minutes. Travel expenses are covered by Boots. A full driving licence and access to a car will be necessary in this role due to the travelling.
