Domestic Couple - Gardener & Housekeeper Accommodation separate from the main house, situated on the property grounds Bills and rent included 5 days a week - some weekends 40/45 hours per week each Time off in lieu for extra hours worked. The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be working on behalf of a UHNW family located in the Cotswolds, to find a domestic couple (Organic Gardener and Housekeeper) to work alongside the current Housekeeping and Gardening team and provide support to the family and the wider Estate. Housekeeping Role You will need to have experience in all things housekeeping and laundrt, gained either in a private household or in a hospitality establishment with the highest standards. You role will include: Maintaining a clean and tidy household Deep- cleaning Meticulous wardrobe management Laundry Pet care You will have experience with maintaining a variety of fabrics from cashmere to cotton, you know how to look after it properly, ensuring it is kept in the best possible condition. Gardener Role Ideally qualified or partially qualified gardener with a willingness to learn, you will be working under an executive gardener/mentor and alongside another experienced P/T gardener. The gardens cover approximately 2 acres of ornamental and edible landscape and comprise of 2 greenhouses, a polytunnel, cutting beds, lawns and hedges, flower beds, ponds, kitchen gardens and orchids producing apple, pear, cherry, gage, apricot, peach, quince, medlar and fig. Applicants will need good basic knowledge of organic vegetable gardening in all its stages and a basic understanding of seasonal propagation and planting out including crop outlay vs. yield. You will: Take part in regular meetings and mentoring sessions with the gardening advisor (considered one of the best organic market gardeners in the UK) Plan your daily, weekly and seasonal activity Manage the propagation of all flora and organic veg Prepare the show garden for an annual food festival Assist with the management of ornamental borders, herbaceous borders, wildflower areas and speciality zones. Provide general help in the rest of the garden such as mowing, strimming, hedge trimming and edging. Assisting the beekeeper as and when required. Soft Skills In addition to your professional skills and experience, you will need to be a hardworking and energetic couple with the ability to prioritise your work in a fast-moving household. You will also need to demonstrate the utmost professionalism, respect and discretion for the family's privacy which they highly value.

You should be reliable and flexible when it comes to your working hours. This role also calls for a full UK driving licence, IT literacy and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
