The Councils Valuation and Strategic Assets team (VASA) is looking to recruit a Head of Asset Management for the Directorates portfolio on a fixed term contract to cover maternity Leave.
As the Council experiences unprecedented cuts to its budgets, we are increasingly seeing our assets as being critical in the delivery of services, either directly or through third parties.
The role provides support and expert advice to teams and departments within the Council including Children's, Adults, Housing, Libraries, Education and Parks, as well as working closely with the Council's external partners such as the NHS.
About the opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our fast-paced Finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant (AMA) to support a project on fixed-term assets.
The AMA will have a defined set of responsibilities across both the profit & loss account and the balance sheet, and you will also be producing and presenting monthly results to senior leadership within the financial accounts team.
