Our client is a leading player within the food manufacturing field. The business has grown organically and grown both nationally and globally. We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join the team as the Head of Finance.

Position Overview: The Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in, overseeing all financial aspects of our food manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Group FD, the successful candidate will provide financial leadership and guidance to drive the company's financial performance and growth objectives. This role requires a robust understanding of finance within the context of 'production', coupled with strong leadership skills and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Excellence, including P&L and cashflow management, delivering against KPI's and budget.
  • Financial accounts to include month / quarter end and annual audited accounts.
  • Drive improvements to key controls, focusing on stock and AP process / AR process.
  • Collaborating with SMT ensuring robust financial controls.
  • Planning and Reporting to Group
  • Annual budget, and forecast, to include.
  • Cashflow forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Business Partnering, including working with the Group FD to drive quality and profitability, and development of effective reporting.
  • System Development, part of the team to select and implement new ERP system.
  • Team development, to include personal, professional development.
  • Project work, as part of a rapidly growing business, ensuring finance is at the heart of decision making.
  • Likely to suit graduate calibre, qualified ideally in ACA, ACCA, with a classic audit and accounting foundation to your career followed by post qualification experience in industry, from a manufacturing, production, food or beverage.
  • You will be naturally curious, inquisitive, and business improvement focussed. Strong leadership and communication skills, able to influence and collaborate with 'non-finance'.
  • This is very much a 'doing' role with big ambition, therefore the ability to be both detail focussed, and strategic is important, along with a 'can do / will do' approach to work.
