Location: NottinghamContract: PermAbout the role:The B-Hive is an in-house creative agency bringing to life the creative needs of some of the most recognizable brands in the beauty industry including No7, Soap & Glory, Liz Earle and Boots own brand.We combine the capability of an external creative and production team, with the speed, flexibility, and in-depth brand knowledge of an in-house set-up, underpinned by years of experience dedicated to Boots and No7 Beauty Company. The Lead Designer is responsible for delivering world class concepts and creative across a variety of media. You'll set the tone for how our brands and retail business show up and you're able to confidently articulate why.This role also requires high-level self-motivation and the ability to work to strict deadlines while under pressure.About the role:Deliver best-in-class design collateral for various needs such as digital, print, instore, image retouching and new concept development workEnsure that all creative and artwork meets the brief, is on brand and produced to the highest standardDevelop and maintain a strong understanding of the beauty market, industry trends and our brandsDemonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a highly creative approach to briefsJuggle numerous fast-paced projects as part of a busy in-house agencyWhat you'll need to have: A degree in Graphic Design or relevant subject and a strong portfolio of work in a variety of media, but you are primarily a digital first designerDemonstrate that you are a creative, conceptual thinker who can use strong design and art direction skills to bring their concepts to life.Experience working with strategists or strategic work that acts as a springboard for your creative.Strong presentation skills across the business at all levelsExperience working from carte blanche position, comfortable delivering from brief to high level concept work across packaging, print, digital, media etc.Able to work alone or as part of a team to solve a briefExpert use of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop & IllustratorExperience as a line manager or nurturing junior members of a design team It would be great if you also have: Experience in the beauty or similar industryStrong art direction experience, having worked on photo & video shootsExperience having created strategic pitches for creative workKnowledge of production methods and cost implicationsExperience using After Effects and Premiere Pro Why Boots:At Boots, we foster a working environment where consideration and inclusivity help everyone to be themselves and reach their full potential.
