Atlantis Medical have an 8 week booking for a Band 7 Team Leader (Senior Mental Health Nurse) To provide day-to-day management support of the multi-disciplinary team in delivering community care to service users. To work closely with the Team Manager and other senior workers to develop the Community Mental Health Team. To establish strong working relationship with the in-patient Service and other teams To monitor workload and ensure fair distribution according to the various team roles To attend monthly interface meetings and contribute to improving local care pathways. To regularly undertake delegated managerial responsibilities and duties, and to deputise for the Team Manager in his/her absence To undertake complaints and serious incident investigations in accordance with the Trust's Policies. To offer regular structured supervision to staff within the team, as well as providing informal support To undertake regular caseload scrutiny for categories such as discharge, step down or step up care To participate with the Team Manager in staff appraisals. To maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date recording of client work. To work according to the principles of equal opportunities in all dealings with patients, staff, other professionals and the general public To undertake regular audit of client case notes to ensure high standards of delivery of care are achieved and maintained

Skills and attributes of our Care Team Leader: Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community Good communication skills, patience and flexibility An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support To be able to undertake a flexible working pattern. Flexibility, a can do' attitude and a sense of humour is a must too! You will enjoy working independently, as well as part of a team. Experience of working with vulnerable people or those with complex needs and have experience and/ or a passion for enhancing individuals' quality of life through positive behaviour support. To support the management and take the lead in service delivery, you will be expected to carry out daily tasks as well as senior duties.
