Our client who are based in Reading are currently recruiting for an HGV2 Driver to join their organisation on a permanent basis. This role is Monday to Friday, no weekend work is required. Competitive salary is on offer dependant on experience. As the HGV2 Driver, you will be responsible for: Collecting & delivering machines as directed by the Transport Manager, who schedules runs on a weekly & /daily basis. Ensuring straps and loading gear are used effectively and machines are delivered & collected intact. You will be required to be able to help load & /unload your vehicles, with the aid of lifting gear, and assisted by forklift truck operators/warehouse assistants. Checking off goods. You will be covering London and the South of England but will be required to cover for North run driver holidays, On the rare occasions, where not required on the road, drivers are required to help in the warehouse. Drivers are responsible for adhering to driving regulations. Qualifications & skills required: HGV 2 level - required. Manual Handling - required. Health & Safety - required. Knowledge of UK map - advantageous Loading/Unloading Experience - required. Working knowledge of driver legislation Full clean driving licence A great work ethic is essential for this role with a flexible attitude.
