Key Responsibilities: Customers: Update customer invoices and credit notes as required, typically every second day. Process commercial invoices promptly and accurately. Record receipts from remittances efficiently. Provide assistance with any investigations or queries related to customer accounts. Potentially assist with handling customer calls regarding payment matters. Suppliers: Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate matching to corresponding orders on Profit 4. Assist in investigating and resolving discrepancies in quantity or price on invoices, and handle invoices that cannot be entered into the system. Reconcile supplier statements and proactively address any issues or discrepancies. Follow up on disputes related to supplier invoices and ensure timely resolution. Admin: Handle any accounts-related administrative tasks as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the finance department. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in a similar accounts assistant or finance-related role preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently. A Financial Accountant is sought for a 12 month FTC to help prepare Financial Statement, be competent in VAT and Corporation Tax and support in Month End and Year End Close. Client Details Our client are a global organisation, based in Solihull, they are highly respected within the industry for their commitment to delivering top-quality products and their dedication to customer satisfaction. Description Support Controller the preparation and filing of Statutory Financial Statements and dealing with associated external audit requests. Prepare and filing of Corporation tax returns and assisting with Corporation tax enquires. Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements. VAT returns, intrastat reporting and responding to VAT enquiries. Support and involvement in Month End and Year End Close tasks and process as required. Organise internal audits on a regular basis. Develop and manage financial systems/policies. Control and forecast income and expenditure. Profile A successful Financial Accountant should have: ACA/ACCA Chartered Accountant status. Demonstrated experience in creating financial reports and statements. Working knowledge and understanding of SAP a bonus Previous audit experience would be useful Job Offer A competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 12 month FTC
