An experienced Finance Officer is required on a temporary basis for approximately 6 months with the potential for an extension or permanent employment. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a financial environment and have strong Microsoft Excel skills. Some duties of the Finance Officer will include: Assist with the monitoring of the revenue budget in accordance with relevant guidance and within tight deadlines Provide financial and non-financial information within required deadlines Ensure all income and expenditure is correctly accounted for within the finance system Finance Officer skills and experience: Have experience of working in a finance environment, preferably in a Local Government setting Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, as is the ability to plan and prioritise own workload with minimal supervision, to meet tight deadlines Excellent communication skills and be confident conversing with a range of stakeholders with the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels Ability to work as part of a team or under own direction Flexible and adaptable If you do not hear from a consultant within 1 week of your application, then unfortunately on this occasion you have not been successful
