About the Job: The interim Project Accountant will support the Finance Bursar to transition financial operations to a new VAT framework. This role, focused on discrete projects, includes both in-office and remote work. Duties will include: Updating budget codes on the finance system to align with new VAT regulations Producing guidance on correct VAT coding for Purchase Orders Preparing VAT reclaims for pre-registration inputs and the Capital Goods Scheme Transferring the fixed asset register from a spreadsheet to the finance system About the Successful Applicant: The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong understanding of VAT regulations, especially the Capital Goods Scheme. Advanced Excel capabilities will be beneficial, along with knowledge of FRS102 standards.
