A Senior Bookkeeper is needed to join the Accounting & Finance team at a not-for-profit organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance.

Description
- Manage the entire bookkeeping process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Work closely with the finance team to develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and entered into the accounting system.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Manage payroll function ensuring all employees are paid accurately and timely.
- Participate in annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
Profile
A successful Senior Bookkeeper should have:
- Relevant educational qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting within the not-for-profit sector.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Demonstrable experience in daily transactional work and supporting different team members in a small, close knit team
- Previous exposure to a common ERP system, such as Sage, Oracle, SAP or Strong Excel is an advantage.
Job Offer
The Senior Bookkeeper will come with:
- An annual salary range of £29,000 - £36,000, commensurate with experience.
