To lead and work within a multi-disciplinary and professional integrated family support and safeguarding service to provide a timely response to the needs of children, young people and their families; acting in accordance with local policies, procedures and priorities.
Purpose of Role
Using professional knowledge and skills to work in partnership with other practitioner/professionals, children, young people and their families; using a common assessment to identify and where appropriate be the lead practitioner to coordinate the implementation of a multi-agency plan of intervention.
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide an integrated whole family approach to families with children/young people aged 0 - 19 who present multiple, complex needs which cannot be met by a single agency in a universal setting.
To assist in the delivery of robust services to children and young people who are at risk of needing specialist interventions or become Looked After by the Local Authority.
To support to the effective safeguarding of children and young people through, contribution to multiagency plans, timely identification of risks and vulnerabilities and onward referrals to the relevant Children's Social Care Services or other agencies as appropriate.
We are looking for a new Recovery / Support Worker - Mental Health to join our established team in Moseley, South Birmingham.
Working hours range from 7.45am to 8.15pm.
We are offering a permanent contract that requires 37.5 hours a week of work, working across a 365 rota (so you'll need to be available to work at least 6 days per week).
As a Family Assessment Worker, you will be part of a team in a residential setting; working with families on a day-to-day basis providing detailed evidence-based assessment recordings of the parents' abilities to meet the safety and care/welfare needs of their children in line with the National Assessment Framework.
