A local authority requires a qualified Principal Housing Enforcement Officer to lead their private sector housing enforcement team and support their Team Manager in development and operational management.
This role aims to improve the quality, safety, and choice of residential accommodation in the borough through professional interventions, including education, support, and enforcement against non-compliant landlords.
This is a temporary assignment for 3 months initially with strong potential to extend.

Key result areas/overview
They work together with CCTV cameras to issue tickets (Officially known as "penalty charge notices" or "PCNs") to vehicles that do not comply with parking regulations.
As a Housing Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for investigating service demands related to poor housing conditions, statutory nuisance, pest control, drainage, and filthy premises in the private sector.

The role holds the key responsibility for delivery of services in the areas of: ASB, Noise and Environmental enforcement and the Client's CCTV operation in line with local and national policy and legislation.
The post holder will deliver large in-house services and will be responsible for designing and delivering further services and service improvements.
