Mobile Electrical Engineer The role is covering East London, West Essex, Central London. Role Description: The electrical engineer's role is to deliver maintenance to SFG-20 standards, perform repair works, and provide reactive services to a professional standard. This mobile role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Adopt a proactive and innovative approach to service delivery. Ensure routine services, maintenance, and repairs are carried out in line with SLAs. Mentor improvers and apprentices. Utilize and understand a CAFM system. Deliver planned preventative maintenance as scheduled. Assist with technical issues on site and provide technical support. Complete all service reports correctly and within the contract timeline. Produce quality reports and quotations. Provide feedback to both the team and management. Build and maintain excellent working relationships with customers. Communicate effectively with customers. Manage and verify site assets for new and existing sites. Adhere to company operational handbook and policies. Conduct Toolbox Talks. Participate in an on-call rota. Contribute to the productivity and profit of your team. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Prevent system breakdowns by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, and cleaning circuits. Execute plans for electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems. Install safety and distribution components such as switches, resistors, and circuit-breaker panels. Respond to reactive call-outs, troubleshoot, and resolve faults. Diagnose and repair system malfunctions requiring specific technical knowledge and an understanding of time and material requirements. Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring component compatibility. Produce quotations for additional works and repairs as required. Oversee Health & Safety in line with client systems. Prepare and assemble conduits and trunking, and connect wiring through them. Qualifications: 18th edition BS7671 certification. City & Guilds 236 or equivalent. City & Guilds 2394/5 or 2391 testing and inspection certification. Minimum of 10 years' experience in the field. A time-served apprenticeship. Skills and Attributes: To excel in this role, you must be enthusiastic, organized, and determined to achieve results. Proven experience as an electrician is essential. You should be an excellent team player and communicator, motivated to excel, and capable of checking electrical system safety and testing newly installed electrical systems. Confidence in working on large, complex mechanical and electrical systems is required, as is the ability to install conduit, trunking, and tray to a high standard. Understanding BMS systems and having at least six years of experience in the electrical and mechanical environment is necessary. IT literacy and comfort with an electronic works management system (CAFM) are important. You should be a good problem solver with the ability to fault find and rectify issues. Good technical knowledge and the ability to represent the company and speak with clients when required are crucial. A full UK driver's license and a positive Can Do' attitude are essential. Additionally, you should have the skills to seek out new opportunities within existing contracts.
