Digital Learning Technologist Location: Northampton Start date: July/August 2024, 12 month fixed term contract Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. About you Are you passionate about developing yourself and others? Are you the first to embrace a new technology? Do you have a flair for course design and an interest in digital learning? You'll be a creative team member who enjoys introducing new technologies and supporting others; whether face to face, through collaborative software or via new digital learning courses. You will have worked in an environment where accuracy and high levels of attention to detail is key, have excellent time management skills and initiative. You'll be a great team player, supporting your colleagues when you see they need some help, but also able to work independently. Experience with the Adobe suite or digital learning authoring tools, such as Articulate and Captivate, is desired but not essential as full training will be provided. Responsibilities You'll guide our new starters through a blended induction of face to face and digital learning, working to always ensure the best learner experience and improved digital literacy. Additionally, you'll work closely with colleagues in the Digital Learning Team and Subject Matter Experts to create and update digital learning courses and other learning resources on a variety of topics. This role is based in Northampton, but occasional travel to the Charity's other hospitals in Birmingham, Essex and Nottinghamshire may be required. Design and deliver training workshops and courses within the community on a range of topics. Create training plans and schemes of work that meet the requirements of accredited bodies, adhere to best practices, and achieve quality targets. Utilize different teaching methods to engage learners and enhance their skills and knowledge. Adapt teaching materials and techniques to meet the needs of diverse learner groups. Provide personalized support and guidance to learners, assisting them in setting goals and achieving personal growth. Collaborate with community organizations and partners to develop training programs that cater to the needs of the local community. Lead the delivery and accreditation of learner-focused provision. Maintain accurate records of learner progress and outcomes. Also, demonstrate the progression and learning of participants, and monitor their program engagement accurately. Stay updated on current trends and developments in adult education and community work.. Stay abreast of subject and course developments, best practices in subject delivery, and external requirements of funding and accreditation bodies. Collaborate with the team of Employment Advisors to meet the learning needs of participants. Establish connections between learning and opportunities in the local labour market. Monitor and improve course content to ensure effective approaches that help clients develop confidence, overcome barriers, and achieve successful transitions and progression. Experience in delivering training in a community setting to participants aged 16 years up to retirement which enhances employability and promotes personal development. Strong knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of learners. Good organizational and time management skills. Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to respond to the needs and interests of learners. A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience. A passion for community development and promoting lifelong learning.
