Position: Digital Learning, Design & Training Officer!

Location: The convenience of working from home with attending London office on occasion

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.

Salary: £25,000 - £32,000

Contract: 12 Month FTC.

Aim Of Post

The Digital Learning Designer will create effective and engaging online learning content, liaising with subject matter experts to understand training requirements and developing educational content that is delivered through our digital learning platform.

Main Duties And Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
  • Work closely with SMEs to understand learning objectives, content requirements, and target audience.

  • Attend relevant workshops run by the Senior Business Process Analyst, consultants and other leads, Project team meetings and Sprint reviews to ensure you have a good understanding of processes and technical applications.

  • Extract and translate complex concepts into engaging and digestible eLearning content.

  1. Design eLearning Modules:
  • Develop interactive and visually appealing eLearning modules that align with instructional design principles.

  • Utilise Articulate Storyline (2, 3 or 360) authoring software and multimedia elements to enhance content delivery.

  1. Create Multimedia Content:
  • Design and produce instructional videos, animations, and other multimedia assets to complement eLearning courses.
  1. Storyboarding and Scripting:
  • Develop detailed storyboards and scripts for eLearning modules, outlining the flow and interactions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary revisions.

  • Ensure the use of gamification etc to ensure an engaging, memorable and effective learning experience.

  1. Publishing Content:
  • Upload new SCORM content to the Learning Management System (LMS) and maintain courses within the system.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of eLearning content.
  1. Deliver training and support:
  • Arrange training dates, invite delegates, monitor attendance, deliver training sessions, distribute training materials, and gather feedback.

  • Review and modify training content, carrying out post training reviews and contribute to any lessons learnt activities.

Required Experience And Technical Competency

  • Relevant experience of eLearning design (2 years+).
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles (Addie, learning cluster design etc.) and e-learning content development tools (Articulate Storyline).
  • Experience with LMS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and SMEs and be at ease presenting or communicating to groups.
  • Experience in developing online learning resources, including video and multimedia.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop engaging and effective learning solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to understand the training needs of individuals or groups, analyse and diagnose issues and outcomes and present in digital learning materials to support user engagement.
  • Perform all administration tasks as part of the overall end-to-end training process.
  • Provide advice and coaching, conduct Training Needs Analysis, deliver training sessions, and gather feedback.
