Key Responsibilities: Upgrade the Housing Management Registers to comply with accessibility standards. Improve operational efficiency for administrative users and enhance the user experience. Optimize citizen interactions with the registers while ensuring compliance with data protection legislation. Support and maintain system components underpinning the registers. Enhance the Housing Management product portfolio based on customer feedback. Develop and support Housing Management products in alignment with product and architecture roadmaps. Demonstrate sustainable and collaborative software development practices focused on delivering high-quality artefacts. Actively participate in team events, providing specialist knowledge and supporting process improvement. Engage with wider communities of practice to share knowledge, techniques, and experience. Ensure high-quality solutions through unit testing, code analysis, and adherence to non-functional requirements. Use collaborative development practices such as pairing and mobbing techniques. Support disaster recovery assurance of digital services. Essential Skills/Qualifications: Significant commercial experience with Java 11 and JavaScript UI frameworks, particularly React. Proficiency in HTML/CSS and awareness of accessibility considerations. Experience with REST APIs and AWS. Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in cross-functional teams. Ability to design and implement technical solutions for software development projects. Familiarity with Digital First or GDS quality standards. Knowledge of microservice and event-based architectures. Experience with human-centred, research-driven, inclusive design practices. Proficiency in unit testing and system test automation frameworks. Familiarity with cloud monitoring, telemetry, and intelligence tools. Strong understanding of Agile delivery models and XP engineering techniques. Experience with UI pattern libraries and code quality tools. Ability to define infrastructure as code. This is a minimum of a three month contract with the opportunity to be extended to six months and will pay a PAYE day rate depending on experience. This is a remote role with occasional travel to their Northampton/London offices. The role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of data migration within the project.
