Cruise Consultant This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting cruise department within an established travel company. Responsible for selling and putting together itineraries for a portfolio of cruise lines, you will have experience of working as a cruise or travel consultant with strong destination knowledge, exceptional customer service and strong sales ability. In return you will be rewarded with a basic salary of £25k with uncapped commission and an OTE of up to £34k. Cruise Consultant - Role & Responsibilities: Create unique tailor-made Worldwide cruise holidays Managing product offering for an allocated portfolio of cruise lines Responsible for delivery and repackaging of a range of products from various suppliers Creating market leading cruise & stay offers Carry out associated administrative tasks as required Cruise Consultant - Skills & Experience Required: Experience in a reservations role within the travel industry either for a tour operator, cruise company or travel agent Confident telephone manner with strong communication skills Good travel geography knowledge with personal travel experience to Worldwide destinations The ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment A determination to achieve and succeed Exceptional customer service skills Excellent PC skills including MS Office Cruise Consultant - Additional Information: Salary of £25k plus bonus / commission - OTE up to £34k Hours of work are Monday - Friday 9.00 - 5.30 pm, with Saturdays on a rota (37.5 hours per week), occasional bank holidays. We are working with a well-known London based Tour Operator who are looking for a Specialist Luxury Travel Consultant to join the team within a dual role. As a Sales Consultant, you will be expected to service both their Direct Clients, Travel Agent Partners and Customers from a specialist are of the business (working alongside their Australia team). Offering an unparalleled level of service whilst owning the whole booking and after sales process from start to finish. You will also be highly motivated by sales targets and will see every new booking enquiry as a new opportunity to help achieve them. Responsibilities: Manage enquiries & Create Bookings to all Destinations Build a strong rapport with clients both pre / post departure. To handle inbound calls from both Direct clients & Travel agents in a professional manner (New Booking enquires). To maximize every sales opportunity, upsell and cross-sell whenever required or appropriate. To strive to achieve your monthly sales targets across all products and customer types. Full management of the booking process including detailed elements of the bookings such as Visas, Home to Airport transfers. Responsible for sourcing best flight options for customers Develop a full understanding of the two areas of the business Touring - ensuring confident sales knowledge and provide in depth knowledge to clients Connect and build strong relationships with the team in Australia to ensure relevant support is received and align on goals. Support marketing campaigns and launch timings Proactively reach out to clients with relevant upcoming tours/release dates to generate interest and new bookings Ensure all relevant pre / post tour administration is completed. Support with crisis events such as high & low water/flight changes/non-operational tours when and if required. To handle the overflow of customer service calls from direct/trade partners in a professional manner. Skills & Qualifications Required: High level of customers service skills High attention to detail to ensure bookings are error free. Strong GDS Knowledge. Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the travel industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Exceptional customer service skills. The ability to be flexible and deal with non-sales workstreams when required. Confident with Microsoft programmes. Ability to work in a pressured environment. Excellent written and oral communication competency. A willingness to take responsibility and to work as a part of a close team. Ability to adapt to the company culture and live the company values. The Package: Salary - £27,000 - £32,000 (plus commission opportunities) Hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 from home) Central London modern offices Rota basis - 5 hours per week between Monday - Sunday.
