Position Overview
As the General Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and safety protocols.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Foreman to oversee the execution of a large-scale water project.
The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience as a Construction Supervisor / Construction Superintendent overseeing predominantly mechanical equipment, structural steelwork, welding, metal trades and pipework within a petrochemical or chemical manufacturing environment.
This is an opportunity for a Construction Superintendent to work at the Birmingham fuel storage terminal.
The project involves the maintenance and refurbishment of several fuel storage tanks including associated shutdowns / turnarounds.
The role objective is to ensure that construction, demolition and decommissioning works are carried out to specification and by safe working methods.
The role holder will be required to supervise the activities of personnel carrying out works for UNS (which includes employees, ASW and contract workers) on a day to day basis to ensure that all activities are executed in a safe, cost effective and reliable manner inline with legislative and company procedures.
The role holder shall work closely with the wider UNS team to support the characterisation, monitoring and transfer of waste.
The Construction and estates project manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects and associated Estates projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction principles, project management methodologies, and excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
