Job Title: Payroll Administrator Location: Crowborough Remuneration: £circa 29,000 per annum based on experience. Contract Details: Full-time, permanent position, 9-4.30pm Mon-Fri, with an early finish at 4pm on Fridays! Do you have previous experience running a payroll and a comprehensive understanding of payroll processes and statutory payments? Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their fun supportive team of 4 in Crowborough. Responsibilities: Collate weekly timesheets and send them via email to Operations for authorisation of overtime. Chase Operations/Unit Managers for missing information when necessary. Process payroll for approximately 800 employees over 2 payrolls. Enter variable overtime, commission, and mileage payments. Process Tax code notices. Process payroll adjustments, if required. Update and calculate all statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and SAP. Process and email monthly payslips. Deal with employee salary and payroll queries by phone and email. Submit RTI reports to HMRC and liaise with them when necessary. Process reports on all Pension Schemes. Process the P32 and send the payment schedules to the Finance Department. Process P60s at the end of the tax year. Complete the tax year for payroll, ensuring the payroll upgrade is completed in a timely manner. Create, maintain, and update all payroll processes. Responsible for all reporting from payroll in line with HR and business requirements. Perform any other admin duties as required by the business. Skills and Competency Requirements: Experience using Pegasus Opera 3 Payroll is advantageous, but not essential. Previous experience using payroll/accounts systems is required Previous experience running a payroll, including a comprehensive understanding of processes and statutory payments, such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and SAP, is required. MS Outlook, Excel (Advanced), and Word experience. A can-do attitude and a passion for numbers are essential. Ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload. Apply now!
