What you'll do Support the Data Management Lead in the development and implementation of Sky's data management strategy, providing valuable SME insight as required. Partner closely with Data Governance colleagues to deliver as part of data 'domain squads' that partner with business and delivery teams to drive data management best practice. Support the design of frameworks and operating models for Data Quality, Data Cataloguing, Metadata & Lineage, ensuring alignment with wider Comcast and Sky Group initiatives. Work closely with business stakeholders and Data Owners/Stewards to identify critical data sets and drive the implementation of data quality, cataloguing, metadata & lineage standards and controls across these critical data sets. Work closely with architecture, engineering and technology colleagues to influence embedding of data management best practice. Proactively lead in implementing a data quality issue management process with business teams that drives prioritisation and remediation of key data quality issues. Bring subject matter expertise including tooling knowledge to actively assist business stakeholders and data role holders in authoring and documenting data quality rules and cataloguing business data definitions. Support maintenance and, if necessary, removal of customer data across Sky platforms in accordance with retention timeframes, policies and guidelines. Advocate for good data management practices and actively support the education of colleagues at all levels, fostering the adoption of data management tooling and assets. Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies in data management, providing valuable insights and actively contributing to data management innovation within Sky Group. What you'll bring 5 years of proven expertise in data management particularly in the areas of data quality, metadata management, data lineage and data cataloguing Proficiency in data management and data governance technologies and tooling e.g. Collibra, GCP Data Catalog & Data Fusion, Informatica Cloud Data Governance etc. Proven experience in supporting implementation of Data Management initiatives in large organisations. Strong track record of successfully initiating, delivering, and maintaining data-related initiatives while effectively communicating complex concepts to stakeholders at various organizational levels and backgrounds. Comprehensive understanding of data storage and access platforms, such as Oracle, Cloudera, and GCP BigQuery. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address root causes of data issues. Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to drive improvements in data quality. In-depth knowledge of data quality, data cataloguing, metadata & lineage frameworks and best practices. Excellent communication skills to convey technical complexity and insights to various stakeholders. Our Team: Our Securities Credit Data teams are responsible for the timely and accurate entry of new bonds and loans being brought to market, secondary market review and updates, as well as extensive client facing support. Our Private Credit team work closely with internal partners including the Engineering, Core Product, News and Enterprise. What's the role? As a Data Engineer for Private Credit, you will use your domain expertise to handle and improve the financial data that feeds Bloomberg products, identify innovative workflow efficiencies, implement technical solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes, and establish links with key players in the financial market. You will be responsible for the data management of publicly filed Private Credit data by BDCs (Business Development Companies) as well as creating pipelines from additional sources, establishing and implementing our automation, data alignment and data quality strategies. You will ensure the best use of our existing Private Credit data as well as leading the technical implementation of on-boarding new datasets. You will use your experience to define what a fit-for-purpose data product looks like. You will work to plan and deliver the data modeling and technology strategy and roadmap which should align to the overall product vision.
