The Role: As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students across various year groups. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our team. This role involves working closely with a small class of up to 5 children with SEMH and complex needs. You will play a crucial role in supporting their educational and personal growth, ensuring they have a positive and productive school experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH and complex needs. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment. Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience working with children with SEMH and complex needs is highly desirable. Strong understanding of SEMH and strategies for supporting children with these needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
