We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our team. This role involves working closely with a small class of up to 5 children with SEMH and complex needs. You will play a crucial role in supporting their educational and personal growth, ensuring they have a positive and productive school experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH and complex needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working with children with SEMH and complex needs is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEMH and strategies for supporting children with these needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
