Do you have expertise in Power Platform: Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate, SQL, Azure SQL DB, and cloud data warehousing? Our client, a Central Government organisation, is looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join their warm and collaborative Data & Business Intelligence team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering a range of outcomes to support the wider Technology Services teams. Your responsibilities will include: Developing data products such as data warehousing, data models, reporting, and business applications at scale. Utilising Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power BI, to deliver new business intelligence solutions and maintain existing ones. Analysing data and providing insights to inform decision-makers and stakeholders. Ensuring high standards of data quality and governance are maintained across systems. Providing day-to-day support and troubleshooting for stakeholders. To excel in this role, you should have: Strong SQL development skills and experience with transactional systems and business intelligence implementations. Proficiency in Azure SQL DB, ADF, and Azure Storage. Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Knowledge of data lake and cloud data warehousing, particularly Microsoft Fabric. The ability to consult with stakeholders, manage expectations, and resolve issues. The willingness to provide exceptional support and maintain business-critical data platforms. Expertise in data modelling and design. Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control tools like GitHub. Experience with ETL/ELT development using SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
