We are now looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 41 hours per week with alternate weekends off, across 43 weeks per year (term time plus additional school holiday weeks). The Role As a Chef de Partie, you will help to plan, prepare and produce balanced and nutritious meals safely and efficiently for our school. Working as part of a shift system, you will carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section, assist in the development and planning of menus, serve customers and replenish counters throughout meal services. Adhering to our Hygiene, Health and Safety policies, you will follow cleaning schedules and ensure that food storage areas are safely maintained. Additionally, you will: - Instruct Commis Chefs in food preparation and cooking skills - Provide support with stock takes - Gain an understanding of food costing and menu planning - Assist with internal and external functions within the school About You To be considered as a Chef de Partie, you will need: - Experience in food production and/or bulk catering - Knowledge of HACCP procedures - The ability to demonstrate craft skills and food production to a high standard - A Basic Food Hygiene certificate The closing date for this role is 24th May 2024.
