My client is looking for an experienced Capital Accountant to add value to their existing team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Capital Accountant to join a well-established forward-thinking Public Sector organisation on a permanent full time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the Accountant, this role involves the preparation of monthly reporting information to the business to assist in the effective management of budgets.
As well as the preparation of accruals and prepayments and the posting of journals in the general ledger system, the role will also involve providing tailored reports to budget holders, assisting with quarterly VAT reporting, daily cashflow, fixed assets, budget production, contributing to the annual statutory accounts and the compilation and provision of information to the annual external audit.
We would accept applications from candidates who are part qualified or working towards a recognised accountancy qualification, with the potential for a salary uplift upon completion.
The role is part of the Account to Report team and is responsible for Financial Accounting for one or more Entity to deliver accurate and timely execution of Financial Accounting activities.
This role will perform complex transactions and statutory reporting across the set of entity codes.
It also includes support for projects and continuous improvement and liaising with Finance Business Partners for escalations.
The Financial Accountant will prepare routine management and statutory accounts for various entities as required, provide information and support to budget holders across the business as well as analysing financial data to support operational budget control and projects
The Financial Accountant will perform a variety of tasks to support sound financial discipline and control.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will work closely with the wider Financial Reporting team.
