Your new role Hours: Part-time 30 hours per week Location: Exeter The Case Work Coordinator is expected to hold day to day responsibility for managing referrals, assessing and supporting clients in a way that allows them to maintain accommodation and make positive changes in their life. You are expected to develop effective and productive relationships with key partner agencies such as National Probation Service, Police and other criminal justice and generic support services that facilitate production of multi-agency support planning. On-call (1 in 8 weeks), £100/week when on-call What you'll need to succeed Understanding of the causes of offending, homelessness and social exclusion and approaches which seek to address these Have a full driving license and access to own car Working with people with complex needs and challenging behavior. As a Case Work Coordinator, you are required to work with the clients to maintain units of accommodation to a high standard of health and safety and work closely with them to establish effective management of personal finances for example, supporting the client to complete benefit claims and budgeting. What you'll need to succeed Progress and track referrals made into the service and outcomes for service users moving on from service. Ensure all new clients moving into the service understand their rights and responsibilities and the conditions of their license agreement and have a valid Housing Benefit claim in place. To proactively manage the safety and security of building(s), ensuring that any maintenance issues are quickly identified and addressed. Ensure that all clients are provided with a high-quality person-centred service which takes a strength-based and trauma-informed approach. Use supervisions and reflective practice opportunities to consider your strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs and motivations. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work Service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse case load including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Child in Care cases, including involvement in Care Proceedings where necessary. Responsibilities: Manage a case load of Child in Need, Child Protection, and Child in Care cases, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Conduct assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Provide timely and effective interventions to support children and families in crisis situations. Attend court hearings and represent the interests of children in Care Proceedings. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including partner agencies and service providers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and departmental policies. Support duty responsibilities as part of the Children's Social Work Service, including responding to safeguarding concerns and emergencies. Requirements: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England. Previous experience working within Children's Social Work Services, preferably in a similar local authority setting. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and welfare. Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities. Commitment to professional development and continuous learning. Flexibility to work at least three days a week in the office and participate in duty rota arrangements.
