Job purpose
The purpose of this role is to progress fitness to practise (FtP) complaints from initial receipt through the investigation process to Case Examiner/Investigation Committee (IC) consideration and on to final FTP Committee hearing (if applicable) in a customer-centric, timely, and effective manner, with a strong commitment to public protection.
The Greater London Authority are looking to recruit an ER Casework Officer to join their People Function team within the Resources & Business Improvement Directorate, on an interim basis.
This role is crucial in providing high-quality advice on a range of employee relations issues, supporting the organisation's aims and objectives through effective ER casework management.
Day-to-day of the role
Work as part of the Employee Relations (ER) Casework team, assisting with the team's operations including monitoring the team's inbox and providing first-line responses.
Morgan Hunt are currently working with one of the UK's Royal Colleges in their search for a temporary Legal Officer (Employment) to deliver legal advice as well as support in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with expert knowledge and post-graduate experience in Employment Law (ideally within the Regulatory, Membership or Trade Union Sectors).
You will use your positive attitude, your knowledge of employment law and your ability to deliver legal advice to internal staff and Members, as well as support and provide representation to members in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
DURATION/Hours: 3-month initial contract/ 36 hours a week
