P/Time Title Investigations Officer - £16.48ph plus holiday pay - Hybrid / Central London

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to make an impact in a regulatory environment? We are seeking a proactive and skilled Title Investigations Officer to join our temp team. This role is integral to maintaining and enforcing professional standards, ensuring the correct use of titles and promoting public awareness of regulated professionals.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a high-volume caseload independently, investigating complaints related to the unauthorized use of a specific title."
- Gather evidence by liaising with online directories, social media platforms, planning portals and local authorities, ensuring each case meets Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality assurance standards.
- Engage stakeholders such as police, trading standards and online directories to handle cases, maintain relationships and resolve compliance issues.
- Initiate legal action where necessary, instructing solicitors to prosecute in magistrates' courts and attending court to provide evidence.
- Draft public communications, including press releases following criminal prosecutions.
- Produce statistical reports on title regulation activities and lead an annual audit of individuals removed from the Register for non-payment.
- Collaborate on awareness campaigns promoting the Register and encouraging lawful compliance with the title regulations.
- Provide exceptional service by handling phone and online inquiries regarding regulatory matters and assisting in general office duties.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Proven experience in managing a caseload, with a background in a regulatory.
- Skilled in data analysis, reporting and interpreting case-related information.
- Experienced in working in high-pressure environments and navigating challenging conversations professionally and tactfully.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a working knowledge of databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and represent the organization confidently in public speaking.
- Interpersonal finesse, adapting your approach to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of your work.
- A collaborative team player, yet able to work independently and bring forward innovative ideas.
