Requirements: Proven experience as a CAD Draughtsperson with a focus on architectural structures or in a similar role. Proficiency in using CAD software, specifically for architectural design Strong technical drawing skills with an emphasis on architectural details. Familiarity with architectural principles, building materials, and construction methods. Ability to interpret and work from architectural plans, specifications, and verbal instructions. Draughtsperson £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum Depending on Experience Our client is a highly successful engineering company who have been established in the local area for over 40 years. They are looking to recruit a Draughtsperson to join their successful team. This is a temporary to permanent position but could also be permanent for the right candidate. Reporting to the Technical Director, this is an excellent opportunity for the Draughtsperson to utilise their existing skill set and to also develop and grow within the role. No formal qualifications are required; however, you will be competent and have experience in using and understanding SolidWorks and other similar packages. The company is happy to offer on the job training, to enable you to develop your skills and progress within the company. This is an office-based role and ideally you will come from an engineering/manufacturing background. Purpose of the job: From hand sketches or briefs, the Draughtsperson will create 3 dimensional models and prepare detailed technical drawings suitable for manufacture, using CAD software and computer visuals as required. Provide project management support, if required, to achieve customer requirements. Key Job Responsibilities: To design and shape products for a variety of applications. To produce design specifications and technical drawings including parts lists. Design, model, and produce prototypes of new products, or make improvements to existing products.
