Reed Accountancy are seeking an Assistant Accountant to provide essential support to the private businesses, charities, and personal finance of a High Net Worth family. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the family's financial affairs, offering a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic finance department. Day-to-day of the role: Coding, preparing, and posting the family's bank transactions. Preparing and maintaining robust cash flow forecasts for personal and business accounts. Posting monthly accounting entries, including prepayments and accruals. Ensuring the integrity of financial numbers through balance sheet reconciliations and other month-end schedules. Analysing accounts and preparing VAT returns for the tax team's review. Producing management accounts and monthly reports with commentary and analysis for certain smaller entities. Preparing statutory financial statements for business entities and trusts. Assisting in the preparation of budget information as required. Supporting the Family Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks. Required Skills & Qualifications: AAT qualified. Previous experience in a similar role, involving key tasks listed above. Proficient in Excel and experienced with accounting systems. Committed to meeting reporting deadlines. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. Confident communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals. Responsible and able to take ownership of tasks. Capable of working autonomously and as part of a team. Discreet, with an understanding of the confidentiality required. Proactive in suggesting improvements to current processes. Adaptable to the changing demands of the organisation.
