Your day will consist of maintaining a smooth flow of product through the warehouse by putting away and retrieving palletised stock from the racking, order picking, loading, and unloading vehicles to ensure a consistent and efficient operation across all shifts. You will need to manage material resources to ensure stock is moved to the relevant warehouses in a timely manner. You will provide a competent service to the manufacturing functions and provide effective management of stock levels, whilst continuously maintaining and improving operational targets and efficiencies. You will build and sustain strong relationships with your team, Line Leader, and Manager. Your role is vital in supporting the manufacturing operation in the delivery and collection of work-in-progress, packaging materials, empty pallets, and blue tubs in a safe and efficient manner. What are the key ingredients needed for the role? Analytical Skills Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Ability to prioritise tasks. To have completed NVO 1, NVQ2. Basic Food Safety, Help Stop Accidents, Behavioural Safety (Training can be provided) To be able to drive Counter balance and reach FLT, Electric Stand On Pallet T20 AP and a Combi lifter (Training can be provided) Self-Motivated. My client in the Armley area of Leeds are looking for x 2 Site Installation Engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Transformer Engineer to work for a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment. The Role: Your duties will be a combination of site-work assembly of Distribution and Power Transformers including fitting, wiring and test at site and in-house production fitting and assembly work. Key areas include: In-house fitting and assembly of various types of distribution and power transformers. You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and parts lists: gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials. Assembly of components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. From time to time, travelling to third party sites both in the UK and abroad to build up the equipment and test. Ensuring that all equipment is assembled and tested to the highest standard. Reading and understanding mechanical and schematic drawings Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role Identifying and working with others to resolve inadequate or unclear manufacturing/engineering information Sometimes working unsociable hours when required to meet company demands, including site work as required Sometimes working abroad on special projects if the need arises. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Experience and competence of working on site fitting distribution and power transformers is essential Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings is essential Apprentice trained or a Mechanical/Electrical qualification is essential Experience of Health and Safety and conducing risk assessments is essential You will have good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with customers and resolve issues in a proactive and positive manner Strong trouble shooting skills Excellent attention to detail You will be flexible and adaptable and be prepared to attend site at short notice which may be outside your normal working hours Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel with the ability to train and enhance your wok colleagues' skills.
