The ideal candidate will be a recent school or college leaver with good Mathematics skills and excellent attention to detail. My client a small legal firm are currently seeking a Revenue Assistant to join their Finance Department's Revenue team. This role is crucial for converting work in progress (WIP) into compliant invoices, securing timely payments, resolving payment queries, and supporting the billing/revenue controllers. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within a professional services environment and possess excellent communication skills. Day to Day of the role: Process invoices according to established procedures and send them to Fee earners. Undertake debt collection of invoices in accordance with the Revenue Control procedure. Resolve client queries within appropriate timeframes and escalate to fee earners, revenue controllers, or management as needed. Record all relevant information relating to unpaid invoices in the system for feedback to partners and fee-earners. Produce weekly/monthly Debtor and WIP Reports. Issue statements and process credit card payments. Liaise with clients and fee earners to resolve client queries. Chase overdue accounts by following company procedures. Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity. Send out monthly client statements/letters. Provide support to billing and revenue controllers, keeping them informed of all issues and concerns. Required Skills & Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience as a revenue assistant, biller, or credit controller in a professional services environment. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. A team player who is also able to work independently. Commitment to the highest level of customer service. High level of numeracy and understanding of financial workings. Competence in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with legal systems is desirable but not essential. Attention to detail and the ability to act positively and creatively when faced with challenges.
