Ysbyty Ifan is one of our largest agricultural estates.
It comprises approximately 20,316 acres of stunning uplands, all within the boundaries of Snowdonia National Park, and includes the Machno, Eidda and Upper Conwy Valley valleys.
The Ysbyty Ifan estate came into our care after being transferred by the Treasury in 1951, which had obtained it in lieu of paying death tolls from the estates of the late Lord Penrhyn.

As one of our Horticulture Apprentices, you will be part of our horticulture teams, helping to look after our 224 Historic gardens, playing a vital role in delivering our conservation and climate change strategies, helping to undertake the regular tasks and horticultural maintenance, conservation, and care of the gardens to safeguard them for the future.
You do not need experience for this role, just plenty of enthusiasm and a desire to learn.
It is a highly visited and loved countryside on the doorstep to so many residence and has accessible walks such as the Family Discovery Trail and play area connecting community to countryside.
It contains high quality biodiversity within its habitats, significant trees, woodlands and a vast history of human settlement in Bath.
The Bath Skyline is a UNESCO World Heritage Site setting, only 1 of 2 World Heritage cities that includes the surrounding landscape within the designation.

This exciting role is based at Cobham Wood a SSSI wood pasture restoration project, formerly the deer park of nearby Cobham Hall, & historically the seat of the Earls of Darnley.
Rangers within the National Trust are the custodians of our estates & landscapes.
The purpose of this role is to assist in the management and maintenance of nature reserves and walking trails managed by Open Spaces, and in their promotion to the public.
We are currently hiring for a Assistant Warden for our client in Colwyn Bay.
This role is due to start in May until the end of September to cover for long term sickness.
