Pure are delighted to be working exclusively with a great organisation in the heart of Chelmsford who are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant looking to progress their career in accounts. This is a great opportunity for somebody starting out in accounts looking to gain more experience in a supportive team. Duties will include the following: Data entry of purchase invoices and sales invoices Creation and maintenance of supplier records Payment of supplier invoices via purchase ledger routine Input of "urgent" payments, and creation of BACS payment files Maintenance and input of standing invoice and standing payment records Responding to supplier queries Performance of allocated bank reconciliations. Production and checking of Debtors & Creditors reports and aged analyses. Weekly reconciliation of purchase ledger clearing accounts Recording and allocating daily cheque receipts Identify and create credit notes Daily reconciliation of general client bank account Monthly reconciliation of Direct Debit clearing account This is a hybrid based role with 4 days based in the office and 1 day at home.
