The Treasury and Investments team at the Trust plays a crucial and wide-ranging role. Managing the Trust's investment portfolio of approximately £1.5 billion, the team aligns the portfolio with the Trust's environmental goals without compromising returns. They secure external debt for the Trust, finance most of the Trust's commercial and renewable energy projects, oversee day-to-day cash management, and are now starting to develop, often very innovative, strategies for accessing finance to support action on climate change and nature restoration initiatives. What it's like to work here The Treasury team, consisting of eight dedicated members, including two other Treasury and Investments Funding Managers, collaborates across all levels of the Trust, from individual properties to the Board and Trustees. We pride ourselves on our adaptability and teamwork, offering expert advice, innovative financing options, and efficient processes to drive organisational success. Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend this office from time to time. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week though. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing Treasury and Investments Funding Managers are closely and flexibly involved in all the areas of Treasury and Investments operation including managing the investment portfolio, raising external debt, funding internal commercial and renewable energy projects, cash and bank relationship management, funds ledger management and the Trust's building nature and climate funding agenda. For this position we're looking for someone who has: A qualification in Accountancy A qualification, or working towards a qualification, in Treasury or Investments (support can be included). W hat you'll be doing as a Senior Income Assurance Manager In this role, you will accurately forecast revenue, billing, cash, and debt for household customers and report portfolio performance. You'll also be working in a newly formed team, with exposure to senior stakeholders and a variety of projects. Lead forecasting and portfolio performance reporting and insight into the revenue, billing, cash, and debt value stream. Deliver an end-to-end way of working that enables forecasting accuracy and further builds business and stakeholder confidence. Lead a team to deliver high-quality inputs and outputs to the business, exec, and board. Work with large data sets drawn from a wide variety of internal and external sources including macroeconomic, portfolio, and operational data. Design and interrogate databases; carry out data transformations and liaise with the business to improve our ways of working. Support the business and work with stakeholders to design, build, and maintain a range of visualisation dashboards and reports, managing stakeholder expectations. Proactively identifying insights and trends from data sets using statistical methods and modelling. What you should bring to the role Team Management - experience in management or mentoring team members and track record of delivery through teams. Presentation skills- the ability to present and articulate complex information engagingly to different audiences. Stakeholder management - the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior leadership. Data Analysis - experience and knowledge of working with databases, data analysis, and reporting or an in-depth understanding of operational data sets with the ability to quickly adapt to technical challenges. Advanced Excel, PowerQuery, SQL, and PowerBI. Knowledge and experience of Python or other statistical languages - experience in applying statistical models to inform data-led decisions. Personable with excellent communication - and relationship-building relations across all levels of the business. Knowledge of building data pipelines - working in Azure data factory would be an advantage. A degree or equivalent within an analytical or substantial work experience in a similar type of role.
