We are currently working with a market leading business manufacturing company based in Stockport. In the appointment of an assistant management accountant to join a dynamic team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. Based in Cheadle, the Assistant Management Accountant is a professional responsible for supporting the finance team to maintain accurate and timely information in our systems. To assist in the provision of internal reporting and financial control. Main Duties & Responsibilities: To work with the Finance Director assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts. Providing assistance to the Management Accountant and other members of the Finance team as required. Accruals and pre-payments. Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations. Assisting with Asset Based Lender processes. Assisting with the preparation of VAT submissions. Posting Amazon invoices. Organising events and office duties. Ad-hoc tasks as and when required. Experience: A degree or AAT Level 3 or above qualification is essential. Must have 3 years' experience working within an Accounts role. Possess an understanding of month end processes. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to work towards deadlines and manage own time. Good organisational and interpersonal skills. Openness to learn.
