We are currently working with a market leading business manufacturing company based in Stockport. In the appointment of an assistant management accountant to join a dynamic team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
Based in Cheadle, the Assistant Management Accountant is a professional responsible for supporting the finance team to maintain accurate and timely information in our systems. To assist in the provision of internal reporting and financial control.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To work with the Finance Director assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Providing assistance to the Management Accountant and other members of the Finance team as required.
- Accruals and pre-payments.
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with Asset Based Lender processes.
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT submissions.
- Posting Amazon invoices.
- Organising events and office duties.
- Ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
Experience:
- A degree or AAT Level 3 or above qualification is essential.
- Must have 3 years' experience working within an Accounts role.
- Possess an understanding of month end processes.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work towards deadlines and manage own time.
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Openness to learn.
