We have teamed up with a collaborative business services organisation, based in Eastleigh, to find a talented Assistant Accountant for a 6-month, fixed-term contract. This is a vital role for the business after a recent, successful acquisition, so it is an exciting time to join the company! As Assistant Accountant, you will start by getting involved with all things accounts payable and then build on your experience and gain exposure to various projects and all aspects of finance. You will be part of a positive and friendly culture with a company that commits to professional development. The normal working hours are 9am-5:30pm, however, there is an opportunity to discuss slightly reduced hours or different working hours to accommodate school runs or similar commitments. The role will initially be based in Eastleigh but will move to Whiteley within the time of the contract. Our client, who specialise in the transportation, delivery and storage of goods is looking for a Administrator to join their busy team. Excellent administration skills, accuracy and attention to detail are key as you will support HR and finance duties. This will be maternity cover for at least 9 months. Main duties Sending out correspondence forms as required Raising invoices / Purchas Orders Reconciling invoices from sub-contractors Reconciling mileage claims made by employees Receiving and dealing with incoming calls Ensure all activities are completed to agreed time frames Authorising Loaders holiday requests as required Recruitment Place adverts / Screen applicants / Place on trial days Complete a record of all incoming telephone calls and action taken Provide feedback and reports as required Support the finance department with invoice reconciliation and paying suppliers Support the HR department dealing with employee enquiries and training. General administration support as may be required. Facilitate training and development activities. Provide admin support to the Support Centre Manager Skills/Knowledge Use of Mac Computers would be an advantage Must be able to work as part of a small team in fast changing environments Managing Data entry, Planning, Scheduling and reports, ensuring 100% accuracy levels Hours Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week Office hours 9 month maternity cover contract Salary £22300 per annum
