Project Accountant £34,000 - £36,000 Study Blackpool Hybrid Short and Long-term Projects High-calibre Senior Leaders Axon Moore delighted to be partnering with a high-growth business in Blackpool to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant to help support the FD and Head of Projects with an array of upcoming projects relative to business strategy, fleet and site management. This unique opportunity is well suited to a self-managing, detail-orientated individual with advanced Excel skills and solid experience with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance reports on a range of ongoing projects (capital and revenue) and provide financial advice and analysis to non-finance stakeholders to aid effective decision making. Assist in the preparation of financial information for the Board and the Shareholder. Advise senior management on the financial standing of a range of projects, identifying any areas of concern. Identify opportunities for corrective action if projects deviate from agreed financial targets. Provide support to the FD on wider financial performance issues, including variance analysis and forecasting. Provide guidance to front office colleagues on a range of financial issues such as correct coding of invoices, credit control procedures etc. Provide tailored reports to Service Managers on budgetary performance and provide advice on areas requiring corrective action. Develop financial models in conjunction with the Project Management Team and Senior Management to allow the appraisal of new business opportunities. Liaise with the Finance Team of the shareholder to identify any financial issues or queries and take appropriate action to resolve these. Assist delivery of performance targets and provide accurate reports for the attention of the company senior management team and Board. Assist the Head of Projects and Business Development with project budgets. Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
