Claims Manager Overview Join our client's growing team as a Claims Manager, handling claims made against professionals for leading insurers. Acting under delegated authority, the team manages pre-litigated claims from first notification to resolution. Generally you would be expected to work from the office two - three days a week, however, initially you would be in the office more regularly. Responsibilities Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main contact for client queries, provide feedback, and foster collaborative relationships with insurer clients. Team Supervision: Manage and mentor Claims Handlers, ensuring a high-performing team. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), maintain data integrity, and conduct regular audits. Technical Support: Deliver training, coaching, and support to team members and the wider department. Reporting: Maintain account reporting and liaise with internal administration to deliver necessary reports to insurers. Risk Management: Identify trends and escalate risks to the Head of Claims and insurers as needed. Client Needs: Understand and fulfil client needs, ensuring excellent customer service. Delegated Authority: Ensure accurate and consistent operation under Insurer Clients' Delegated Authority. Requirements Qualifications: Law degree or working towards ACII, CILEx, or equivalent; or significant experience in claims with technical expertise. Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, relationship management, prioritisation, organisation, and efficiency. Experience: Line management, dealing with demanding situations and clients, and proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Desirable Knowledge: Familiarity with law firm operations, case management systems, and technical claims. Experience: Handling professional indemnity and/or management liability policies, or working within the insurance industry. Compliance: Understanding of legislative and legal frameworks. The Claims TPA Manager will be responsible for providing effective oversight and management of a Claims DA team, ensuring our client's Claims DA processes and procedures are fit for purpose and a high quality claims service maintained.
