SEND Business Support Officer Location - Chatham, Kent Salary - Competitive Benefits - Hybrid working Hours 37 hours per week 6 month Contract with a review at 3 months Do you have the ability to attend partnership and SEND meetings and produce accurate records and minutes? Can you maintain and support clear and transparent communication about the progress of cases so that all involved are kept fully and accurately informed? We haveafantasticopportunity inChatham for a Business Support Officer to work for one of our clients.In this role, you will be working full-time. Initially, this will be a 6-month contract, with the possibility of an extension. Responsibilities To assist the work of the Hub Inclusion Teams by providing administrative support covering a wide range of activities To act as the initial point of contact for customers accessing hub services and ensure high quality customer service for all those accessing the service To ensure email and telephone communications are responded to swiftly, and that accurate records of all communications are maintained centrally To seek to understand the communication needs of colleagues and customers, being mindful of equality issues and the diverse needs of the range of people we work with To seek feedback from internal and external customers on the effectiveness and efficiency of the service you provide Skills and Experience Demonstrable office-based skills A full driving licence and access to a vehicle or an ability to travel within Medway and further afield for meetings etc Awareness of different special educational needs and disabilities Understanding of and a commitment to inclusion An understanding of outcome-focused processes and outcome focused goals IT skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to manage time effectively, planning own workload and setting appropriate objectives and deadlines Demonstrable experience of thoroughly analysing written and spoken information from a range of professionals and extracting the relevant information for a range of purposes Ability to demonstrate a wide understanding of customer needs and being able to manage their expectations Understands the process of teamwork and the part they play in ensuring objectives are met Demonstrable ability to cope with difficult communication with clients who are distressed or angry Willingness to undertake further training to meet evolving needs of the role as legislation changes Willingness to travel within Medway, and further afield as required To find out more about the position, please apply and we will be in touch to discuss the role in more detail.
