A leading law firm is seeking a Legal Cashier to work within the busy accounts department.The role will provide a complete service to fee earners by ensuring that billing and administration processes are carried out promptly and effectively, dealing with queries and reconciliations and providing assistance and support to fee earners to enable them to manage their files Main duties will be: Processing monies received - cheques, direct payments etc. Process incoming and outgoing CHAPS, BACS and faster payments using online banking systems. Daily Bank reconciliation Processing petty cash payments and expenses. Dealing with telephone and personal queries that arise daily and any other duties which arise within the accounts team. Administering the investment of funds to deposit accounts and withdraw and close as required. Processing periodic interest and filing statements. Assisting with month end procedures where necessary. Checking and writing back out of date cheques. Filing, dealing with paperwork that comes in daily. If you have a minimum of 12 mths experience within accounts, ideally within a legal setting but not essential, good working knowledge of excel and at least Math and English GCSE then this could be the right role for you.
