Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with Electrical Bias 4 days on, 4 days off If you are an electrically biased maintenance engineer, seeking a days based role (no nights!) with a long established, stable company, this could be the role for you. This role is for a multi skilled, qualified Maintenance Engineer to join a friendly, well known food manufacturer in Ilkeston. You will be working closely with the production team to ensure that food production and packaging machinery downtime is kept to a minimum. You will have a pro-active attitude and approach, identifying and recommending areas of improvement to achieve the necessary continuity and efficiency of production. Fault finding and breakdown repairs of equipment and site services. Effective PPM and reactive maintenance Contributing to CI and capital projects Complete documentation accurately Support and coach colleagues in shared maintenance aspects Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including all Health and Safety issues, policies and codes of practice. Experience and skills required of a Maintenance Engineer: Qualified maintenance engineer to Level 3 or ideally HNC level Ideally apprenticeship trained Electrically biased, knowledge of PLC systems Experience of maintenance engineering within a food, packaging, or high-volume manufacturing. Confident to work on own when required. Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production. Ability to carry out all types of engineering maintenance including electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems, robotics, inverters.
