Are you an experienced Quality Electronics Tester? Do you a HND or BSc in Electronics, or similar? Responsibilities Carry out in-depth testing and inspection of returned products to determine issues around design and production quality level Use the company reporting system to note and detail any non-conforming products Test product using ATE and ESS with relevant testing protocols. Repair and defects detected in circuit boards tested where possible. Ensure reporting documents are completed and filed in line with deadlines. Carry out rolling reviews of testing and reporting practices, adding value and improvement where required. Ensure any deviations are reported to the Engineering team for correction. Be an active part of the team with regard to promoting the improvement of business practices and standards. Any other tasks required by management. Support global Research & Development and conformity of production test programmes as required. Assist the analysis and diagnosis on test outcomes. Assist with the safe unloading, transfer and re-loading of test specimen, following prescribed safe systems of working. Maintain the company instrument calibration register, liaising with suppliers and the Manager to ensure instruments are always ready for use. Represent the company in a professional, courteous manner in all customer facing activities. To ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times by all members of the team. Support the company's continuous improvement and 5s cultures through active engagement and delivery of improvement initiatives. During low activity periods, support other functional areas of the business. Experience and skills required for this position: A qualification in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering, or similar. 2 years' experience working in an Engineering, Technical or Workshop environment. Have a 'hands on' approach, with good mechanical assembly skills. Be self motivated and focused. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Be well-presented, personable and approachable. Good numeric and literacy skills. The ability to use Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel. Proven ability to work well under pressure. Ideally you will have experience in an automotive or testing industry.
