RM Recruit is pleased to partner with an excellent organisation in Sutton Coldfield in their search for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis, temporary basis working 21 hours per week. This onsite position requires availability from Tuesday to Thursday. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Accounts Assistant will oversee key aspects of the organisation's daily financial operations, providing essential support to the finance team. Main duties include, but not be limited to: Transaction Processing: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier statements, and other financial records. Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and prepare for internal and external audits. General Ledger Maintenance: Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Expense Management: Monitor and process expense claims and ensure adherence to company policies. Other Duties: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and assist with special projects as required. Qualifications Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role, ideally within [specify industry if applicable]. Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in financial software such as SAGE 50, or similar accounting systems. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
