Assistant Property Accountant

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Property Accountant to support our rapidly expanding Property Management team to ensure the ongoing and effective management of a portfolio of commercial properties located throughout the UK.

The ideal candidate will be seeking to develop a career in property management accounts in a busy, supportive, and inclusive environment. The role will suit someone who enjoys liaising and building relationships with clients, suppliers and are comfortable working both within a team and on their own initiative.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm based at our office in Sutton Coldfield. The role requires daily interaction with the existing team and as such we are not able to offer remote working for this position.

In addition to the base salary, we offer 25 days annual leave plus statutory Bank Holidays, regular staff social events and CSR days supporting chosen charities.

What you will be doing

  • Supporting the Property Accountant.
  • Recording of transactions.
  • Accurate and prompt processing of payments to suppliers and clients.
  • Reconciliation of accounts.
  • Liaise with and manage suppliers and clients.
  • Data management.
  • Credit Control.
  • Assist with financial reporting to clients.

What the successful candidate will have

  • Experience of team working and supporting senior team members ideally within a property related background.
  • Demonstrable skills in MS Office and MS Teams.
  • Working knowledge of Propman (preferable) or a basic knowledge of commercial property management systems (essential).
  • Previous experience or a knowledge of commercial property finance.
  • Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail.
